Sammy?s Dilemma at the A & P John Updike?s A & P is the injecty of Sammy; a boy who decisions are based on hisinner feelings and need to raise up for what is right. At 18 years doddering Sammy works forthe local A & P; a food market store. One afternoon a group of girls eating aside nothing butbathing suits enter the store and Sammy is drawn to them. Although Sammy?s characterappears blate at first, he quickly becomes bold and daring in the first place the end of the story. Sammy doesn?t overprotect forth much, if he eve gets out at all.
